LAUTECH – On the issue of power blackout in LAUTECH students residential areas, a meeting was held today, Friday, November 6, 2015, by the Student Union Government to resolve the problem.
In the words of the Media Director, he reports the outcome of the meeting:
“Solidarity greetings to the great Ladokites, who had diligently waited, despite the threat being faced by various challenges, such as electricity and Water.
The fact remains that a selfless sacrificing system of government will
always be outstanding from other system of government where student of an institution are given the freedom to express their predicaments.
LADOKITES have become frustrated, especially about the issue of electricity, and all hands have been on deck to make sure it is restored. Open letters were written, consultation were made and other constructive struggle were embarked on.
Our amiable SUG President of the University and the visitor to the
university, which we believe can solve our predicaments, has turned listening ears to our voices and has given is verdict.
His excellency, Sen Solace Olanbiwoninu, during a meeting this afternoon with various leaders in all sections across the community and our ever gallant stakeholders in Yoaco, UnderG and Stadium was also present, asked every individual representing each Area in the university community, the challenges been faced by students in their environment.
To this end, our amiable SUG president (SOLACE) painstakingly explained all challenges facing LADOKITES, especially Electrification and Water, Our dear Coordinator of Power in Ogbomoso/Ilorin {KwSt} after listening to our president, promised that, Electricity will be restored in two weeks time and there will be power supply in our residential areas. The President also promised to meet all Landlords and Agents to supply us Adequate Water as touching the issue of cooking and bathing as the Examination is fast approaching, which must be put in place in all Hostels within Two Weeks.”
